Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for La Cottage, Saint-Maurin, France. By confirming a booking, the Lead Guest accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of the party.

2. Definitions

Owner means Bryn Bennett. Guest means the Lead Guest and all members of the booking. Property means La Cottage.

3. Booking

A booking is confirmed only when accepted by the Owner or booking agent and the required payment has been received.

4. Payments

Payments shall be made in accordance with the booking confirmation or booking platform.

5. Prices

The rental price includes exclusive use of the cottage and private pool, bed linen, towels, Wi‑Fi, electricity, water and normal end-of-stay cleaning unless stated otherwise.

6. Guest Cancellation

Cancellation must be made in writing. Where booked through a booking platform, that platform’s cancellation policy applies. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

7. Owner Cancellation

If the Property becomes unavailable through circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, monies paid for the accommodation will be refunded. Liability is limited to accommodation payments.

8. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for events beyond reasonable control including severe weather, wildfire, flood, pandemic, government restrictions, utility failure or war.

9. Arrival & Departure

Check-in from 4:00 pm. Check-out by 10:00 am unless otherwise agreed.

10. Occupancy

Maximum occupancy is three guests plus one infant in a travel cot.

11. Children

Children must be supervised at all times, particularly around the swimming pool and gardens.

12. Swimming Pool

Available daily from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Guests use the pool at their own risk. No diving, no glass and no dangerous behaviour. The Owner may close the pool temporarily for maintenance or safety.

13. Health & Safety

Guests shall use the Property responsibly, report hazards promptly and follow all safety guidance.

14. Care of the Property

Leave the Property in a clean and tidy condition, report accidental damage promptly and respect neighbours.

15. Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Property.

16. Pets

Pets are not permitted.

17. Parking

Parking is at the Guest’s own risk.

18. Wi‑Fi

Complimentary Wi‑Fi is provided but uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.

19. Owner Access

The Owner may access the Property for emergencies or essential maintenance, giving notice wherever practicable.

20. Complaints

Please report any issue immediately so it can be resolved during your stay.

21. Liability

The Owner is not liable for loss of personal belongings, interruption of utilities or events beyond reasonable control, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

22. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the La Cottage Privacy Policy.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France.

24. Acceptance

By confirming a booking, the Lead Guest accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of the party.

Our Commitment

Our aim is to provide a beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally clean holiday home. If there is anything that can be done to make your stay more enjoyable, please let the Owner know and every reasonable effort will be made to assist.
